What happens if I need to break my lease?
Breaking a Lease
Most folks stay with Running Creek for long-term. Breaking a lease is a serious legal issue. We understand it may be necessary, but we want you to do the math and take your time in making such a big decision.
If you break your lease, know that you will not receive your deposit back. Also, you will owe a break lease fee of one month’s rent. Plus, you will need to pay rent AND Lancaster Utilities and AEP until a new renter moves in. We will work hard to get the unit rented but we cannot guarantee any time frame.
Just notify the office immediately if you know you’ll need to break your lease. Text Mary at 740-277-1619. She’ll send over the 30-day Notice form via DocHub for your e-signature and the 30 days will begin on the 1st of the next calendar month.
