Once upon a time….you loved your beautiful space, but just simply needed something different. At Running Creek, your happily-ever-after is welcome to change as you grow and change as well. If you need more space or less, you are welcome to request an opportunity to participate in the Move-to-a-New-Unit Program. Here’s how:
Text our Central Office number and let us know what you’re looking for - # of beds/baths, location, and features. We’re happy to help you find just the right fit! We will try to find a unit that coordinates with your current lease dates as close as possible. Please note, we cannot break a lease with your current home.
Schedule a time to walk through the new unit and check out the features.
If it works for your needs, just fill out the same FREE application form for each adult occupant in your household.
Once that’s done, you’ll receive a link to the Secure Portal to upload new paystubs, bank statements, and driver’s licenses.
Your file will go to the Approval Committee along with your choice of which unit will work for you. The same process applies as when you first moved to a Running Creek Home. The only difference is that you don’t need a new background and credit report. You will need to be current in your rent with no late rent in order to qualify to move to a new unit.
Once approved, you’ll work with our staff on your move-out date at your current unit and your move-in date at your new one. You will need to keep ALL the utilities on and in your name until you officially turn in your keys. You’ll also need to transfer AEP & Lancaster Utilities for your new unit when you get the keys there.
You may need some time to move and that’s completely understandable. Rent will be due at each place as long as you have the keys. Once you turn in the keys, your rent will stop and be prorated back to you if there’s a credit balance.
Your Security Deposit will transfer and most of the time, there won’t be any additional deposit needed as long as there is no damage to your current unit. A manager will walk through and confirm that with you once you’ve been approved.
